These are VERY COMMON in puppies and can be easily treated inexpensively should your pup exhibit symptoms realting. It also does not cover illnesses due to the ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals, stress related issues, behavioral issues, physical injuries and/or illnesses which may have occurred and/or contracted during or after transport to the buyer. Once the puppy leaves our care, we have very little control over how the puppy is handled, where the puppy is taken or what the puppy is exposed to.

Vaccinations and Dewormer: Puppies will typically be due for their next vaccine and/or deworming in 1-4 wks (from pick-up date), refer to the the recommended shots timeline and always ask your veterinarian. The seller assures that this puppy has received at least one set of vaccinations – which covers Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2, Para-influenza and Parvovirus. Montecito Doodles “The Doodle Ranch” worms our puppies with SafeGuard and or (pyrantel pamoate) every two weeks with Safe-Guard (Fenbendazole).

Buyer agrees NOT to take this Goldendoodle Puppy to public places, such as the pet store or dog park until the Puppy has had ALL of his/her vaccinations, usually after 16 weeks of age. The puppy will not have all of its immunities until then. There are many viruses, such as Parvovirus that are potentially fatal if contracted.

Hips and Elbows: A Warranty for Hip Dysplasia is provided for two (2) years after the birthdate of this Puppy. OFA or Penn HIP results must be provided showing Hip Dysplasia. All testing to be done at Buyerʼs expense. If it is determined that the Hip Dysplasia is severe enough to curtail the quality of life of the Puppy, then the Seller will pay Veterinary expenses up to half the initial purchase price of the puppy. If this puppy is diagnosed with hip dysplasia then official written documentation including films and any and all veterinary reports associated with the hip dysplasia diagnosis from the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) or PennHIP of bilateral dysplasia before any refund will be provided. If your puppy is diagnosed by PennHIP or OFA to have dysplasia, we do NOT require the puppy be returned to us. If dysplasia is confirmed, buyer will be refunded 1⁄2 the total purchase price (excluding any/all additional expenses travel, shipping, food, vet supplies, and Veterinarian costs). Due to the environmental causes of this disorder, genetics cannot be completely blamed for its development. Please feed your puppy a high-quality dog food. The goal is to avoid rapid growth during their early development. Use caution when taking your puppy on long jogs or doing strenuous exercise during the developmental stages (first year), put down rugs on hardwood floors to prevent slipping while playing which can also injure their growing hips/joints.

General Health: The BUYER agrees to maintain this puppy/dog in good health, provide routine preventative health care, including but not limited to, inoculations, internal and external parasites, and preventative medications. BUYER agrees to provide fresh water and proper quality food (preferably grain free) in the correct amounts. If any of the above preventative care has not been provided, health warranty will be rendered null and void.

Rehoming: If for any reason, you are unable to care for your puppy or adult dog – PLEASE contact us immediately. We will do our best to assist in relocating your puppy into a new ‘approvedʼ home. Although we will not reimburse you for the original purchase price of the puppy/dog – we will assist you in placing them into a new loving home. No compensation is offered to the initial buyer of the dog from that adoption. We also ask if you decide to re-home this puppy on your own that you provide us with the new owners contact information (name, address and phone number).

Compensation for a returned puppy within 5 days of adoption is as follows: We will refund the full amount of the adoption fee rendered minus the $450 non-refundable deposit and any actual travel expenses we may personally incur upon return or exchange.

Important Notes Protecting your puppy: Puppies are given their 1st puppy shot with us, this does not mean theyʼre immune to the diseases theyʼve been vaccinated against yet, please check with your Vet and follow up on all boosters before taking your puppy to meet the general public including the Veterinarianʼs Office, the Dog Groomers, Petco, PetSmart, Home depot (all dog friendly stores), no camping at public lakes and parks. You need to avoid basically any high traffic dog areas. Vets offices can actually be one of the most dangerous places to take a newly vaccinated puppy, take your puppy in a carrier to the vets or keep them in your arms for the entire visit. They should go from your arms to the examine table and then back into your arms again. Do not allow them to roam freely on the office floors or go potty on the grass outside. Donʼt allow other clients at the vets to handle your puppy, this may seem unfriendly but itʼs important. Do not allow your puppy to roam your home unsupervised unless you have thoroughly puppy proofed EVERYTHING. If your puppy got it. Sorry to say, the owner knows better than the young pup. So, pick-up anything you donʼt want tiny teeth marks in. Put up, away or hide your charger, power cords, plants, purses, shoes headphones etc. We recommend a crate, a playpen or a gated off “puppy area” when you cannot supervise your puppy for the first month.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Stress & First Days Home:
The stress of transitioning to a new home can bring on signs of illness. Although usually temporary, these signs still need to be treated with attention, especially diarrhea.

THIS IS VERY TYPICAL for the puppy to sleep more than exception other minor signs of stress include heavy panting mostly only the first night, loss of appetite, shyness, sleeping a lot etc. Please do not be overly concerned but notify me with any questions, especially if these symptoms seem to last longer than 72 hours or are severe (uncommon). With any questions or concerns, we are here to be of service for you, please do not hesitate to call:  (805) 679-1816
